Hey Everyone! Recently I have been discovering the amazing benefits of Exercise TV. Today after my run I tried their YogaWorks Slim video (for all of you who have Xfinity On Demand it's under Fitness...) and it was such a workout! Preview of YogaWorks Slim I think I probably did over 24 planks over the course of the workout. After of course, it is recommended that you get some protein to help your metabolism and get those muscles building! My favorite fitness trainer, Cindy Whitmarsh, recommends blueberries, greek yogurt, and 10 almonds for example. Today I tried a greek yogurt smoothie and it turned out pretty good! For those of you who aren't into greek yogurt or smoothies in general, try it out, it's super good for you and there are so many different fruits and even vegetables you can add to switch things up!
NuTrish Raspberry Smoothie 1/2- 1 cup frozen raspberries 1 cup greek yogurt 0% fat (Fage, Chobani, or TJ's) 1 tsp agave nectar (if needed) 1 cup vanilla protein powder (I like the Isopure brand Natural Vanilla flavor) (it packs 25g protein per scoop plus tons of other nutrients)
Blend in high power food processor or juice blender et voila!
Alternatively, you could add fresh blueberries, strawberries, 1/2 banana, 1 cup baby spinach or arugula, carrot juice, etc etc in any combination.. the world is your oyster!
Happy fitness! Trish
